How We Began Working Together

We met with someone from Moravian's Stewardship department before working together and some folks from their marketing department well before working together.

Once we did start working together, it was for a few reasons. First, our versatility. We are efficient and our teams had the greater capacity for workload that they were looking for. Second, our ability to stay on brand and keep things consistent with their current and future marketing projects. We will never attempt replacing their marketing team nor would we ever desire to do that to any of our clients. We simply supplement them and service the university departments.

B-Roll Filmed of Student for Donor Testimonial

Our first project we created with Moravian was in January 2023. We worked directly with their stewardship program to create video content aiming to thank specific fund donors for their contributions.

With limited time to be on campus filming, we had most of the team filming student testimonials, thanking the donors. At the same time, we had one of our videographers filming B-Roll around campus, directing and filming B-Roll with the students as we prepared for the next sitdown, etc.

This worked great for time efficiency and showcased our collaborative efforts as a team, yet it would have been nice to have more prep time in-between testimonials. Editing was simple and straightforward and we delivered a first version in two days. All around a great start to a longer-lasting relationship.

School Timelapse Video

While prepping for the Stewardship Week project, we were informed there was a project Moravian wanted to try, but was told previously, that it was impossible.

This was curious as we have done projects as the one suggested. In fact, we had one of these projects not two weeks prior. What was this impossible project? Capturing a twelve to twenty-four hour timelapse of an event from the ceiling.

It was agreed to setup only for a twelve hour timelapse, which we did in less than an hour. We sent the resulting footage over to Moravian's marketing department to then edit into the final piece made. We do not have the rights to the final video. We only filmed the timelapse associated with their edit.

Golf Simulator for Stewardship and Athletics

University Sports Recruitment Video Production

A collaborative desire between Stewardship and Athletics brought us on board to create two videos: a recruitment video for the golf team, and a thank you video to the major donor that made this development even possible.

The Golf Simulator room is not the easiest to film in. It has mirrors across two of the four walls and windows on one side, so we were given three options:

1. Put up curtains to hide all the potential reflections of our team filming.
2. Re-orient the room to fit what we needed for production.
3. Get more creative with our video shots.

We decided on the last option as the best. Curtains would open up our abilities for more wide shots of the area, however, we would also make the room look smaller, uglier, and not be in it's "natural state." We filmed B-Roll and testimonial interviews within two hours.

There was more deliberation within the editing room than usual. However the feedback we received for each rounds of edits notably improved the overall piece and we were happy to listen and make those changes.

These are only a few of the project we have done with Moravian University and we look forward to continuing to work with them.

Steps to Create these Videos

We are usually contacted by the Stewardship Department to begin a project. They inform us of what's happening in the pipeline, what they need, what marketing will send, etc, and we begin.

Afterwards, we begin to film the content. We gather assets, edit, and send over the final videos to use.

As we edit, we send version in for changes, add motion graphics, etc. to make an engaging and captivating piece.

The Result

So far, we have received nothing but amazing feedback from Moravian and we continue to work alongside them. We have even created projects once told impossible to them! We do not have access to their internal information, but as far as Moravian's team has told our video production team, we have been of great assistance.

The Video Project

Working with Moravian University on their video content has been one of our most unique and favorite projects. It's a great example on the differences in specialties there are in marketing.

Always feel free to ask the video team you work with questions on what's possible, even if previously it was not. New technology, strategy, and techniques continue to be developed to allow more and more niche productions or add a unique twist to more traditional video. This opens up more possibilities for universities or colleges to utilize video and solve problems in a variety of ways.
